Vandaag is Goldfinger regisseur Guy Hamilton overleden op 93-jarige leeftijd. Met de films Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die en The Man with the Golden Gun droeg de Britse regisseur zijn steentje bij aan het succes van James Bond.
Hij werkte in deze films samen met Sean Connery en Roger Moore. Roger Moore Twitterde vandaag erg betreurd te zijn over zijn dood.
Incredibly, incredibly saddened to hear the wonderful director Guy Hamilton has gone to the great cutting room in the sky. 2016 is horrid.

Ook producenten Michael G. Wilson en Barbara Broccoli lieten in een reactie weten dat zijn bijdrage van onschatbare waarde is geweest:
